I had a great stay at Khao Lak Mountain View for five nights. The hotel is beautiful, but it's quite out of the way from town, so getting around requires some effort. The hotel's shuttle service is handy for daytime trips, but it doesn't operate at night. The restaurant provided good food at good prices, but with no other dining options nearby, it could be limiting for some. Overall, I really enjoyed my time there.
